I’ve always found it pretty amusing this marketing technique employed by so many Hong Kong companies of hiring young women, dressing them up in skimpy outfits and parading them around their products. It's everywhere! In the pub, on the street, press conferences and trade shows. I suspect its to get the attention of the young, mostly male photographers.

I couldn’t help but laugh when Strategic Communications & Consultants sent this press release on behalf of Fuji Xerox Printers yesterday, featuring this young lass in a variety of quasi-sexual poses.

My all-female colleagues didn’t get the joke, said I was lame and went back to work. Is this just a male thing?

Sounds like a move to me. Very respectful. They're going for a very specific target audience.
